"Design permeates everything and without good design many of the things

we take for granted every day would let us down."

Marie is the very human face that made all of it happen.

With a background in retail she took the plunge in 2001 to change career and follow her passion for design by re-training as an interior designer. A smart move and one that managed to combine her passion on the one hand with her previous experience on the other to give her the tools she needed to succeed. Her aim is to "make Apiffany a household name".

With a healthy balance of creativity and practicality she manages to match form with function wherever possible and strives for quality in all her projects.  Marie cares about what she does and that shows, she takes the time to give her best and rightly has great pride in her achievements.

The closer you are to a business, the more you care for it. This is clear with Marie’s retention of high quality sub-contractors and in Apiffany’s growth and success over the past five years.

Brand names such as Gucci and Prada pop up more than once in her referee’s comments with further references to quality and care. As Marie says:

"Everyone recognises ‘quality’ when they are exposed to it in all its many forms. In my line of business quality in all its forms is not optional."

Her clients and colleagues enjoy working with her and appreciate the fun she brings to projects as well as her sound advice and skill. She also teaches what she knows to others at her local college and by running her own workshops. Supportive and knowledgeable she helps others to realise their best performances.

Marie manages to combine her busy work life with an active life away from the drawing board. She has interests in art, history and global politics, looking for a world where the inequalities are not so great and one that is a "fun place to be".
