In 2001 took the decision to go back to college as a mature student and retrain to be an Interior Designer. Challenging but rewarding she was the star pupil for that year and has not regretted her decision for one moment.

In 2002 Apiffany Interior Design was launched and has been growing year on year since then. It has concentrated on the residential and commercial markets with considerable success and is now able to offer a wide range of services including garden design and teaching. Marie’s aim with the company is for it to become a household name and the first one that comes to mind for anyone wanting to remodel their property.

In 2006 accepted the position of part time lecturer in Interior Design to students studying for their City and Guilds. A natural teacher this has been a very rewarding experience that has lead to being asked to take on more students due to the positive feedback received.

Area Manager of a major UK retailer, 1995 – 1998, appointed to configure and deliver the sales and retail strategies for a large geographic area. The role involved meeting and exceeding challenging targets with one of the stores becoming the flagship store for the retailer. All aspects of store and other operations had to be influenced and managed for this successful transformation to occur.
